Project managed and prepared planning advice and assessment of environmental effects for a 106-unit hotel facility of which 26 units will be floating units located on the adjoining Whitianga Waterways canal. The proposal also includes common walkways that provide access to the hotel units; an open courtyard and pool; appropriate fencing; and landscape amenity planting. The resort also includes a common facility that contains a 134 seat restaurant and bar; function and meeting rooms; spa and gym facility; storage areas; offices and laundry; and the main foyer/entrance. The application was processed on a non-notified basis without the need for written approvals.
