Planning and Development:
Position: Planner.
Duties:
- Planning and project management. Undertaking a wide range of planning functions including processing a variety of resource consents (land use and subdivision) both non-notified and limited notified, assist in the district plan review where required, facilitate the training of graduate planners, carry out duty planner responsibilities and liquor licence processing (planning section).
Skills and experience:
- Assisted in the environmental management overhaul of the earth works district plan chapter, specifically the sediment and erosion management guidelines.
- Maintenance of excellent stakeholder relationships, from layman applicants and submitters to professionals and developers.
- Project management of applications, from the pre-application process right through to the monitoring of consents.
- Community consultation, ranging from notified applications to wider NES concerns.
- Monitoring of resource consents, specifically earthworks.
- Internal training and mentoring of graduate planners.
Position: Graduate Planner
Duties:
- Process a range of resource consents, facilitate the planning checks of building consents, and carry out duty planner responsibilities.
Position: Planning Support and Executive Assistant
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the planning team, operational duties surrounding the notified resource consent process.
- Financial duties – receipting, creation of purchase orders, on-charging etc.
- Coordinate the GM of Planning and Developments calendar appointments and assist with reports and document preparation when required, a high level of confidentiality has been required in this role.
